Opening Day congrats. on the mound - when the pirates are winners, we raise the Jolly Roger! This was a great win. Zack Duke pitched a complete game, both teams wore Pittsburgh Bureau of Police caps that were signed by the respective wearer and auctioned off to raise money for the families of those 3 fallen Pittsburgh Police officers from April 4. And if that wasn't enough, I was on 1st base side, able to look in at the dugout and to observe #25.Check out the pattern of the grass - it was like a sun-burst. I sort of thought maybe Kerrgian was trying to have the pitchers remember that it starts w/ solid first pitch strike pitching and radiates to the rest of the field! It worked cuz Duke was hot and his pitching was great too!
I love our fair city of Pittsburgh - even when it looks this. This was the hour and 37 minute rain delayed game vs. the Rockies. We won! But not before the clouds rolled in. It was kinda cool cuz Dwelyn Young had just hit a double to either tie up the game or actually it gave us the lead and then the rains came. But isn't the city pretty?!
Raise the Jolly Roger - PIRATES WIN, PIRATES WIN! This is one of the two masgots, Jolly Roger. Generally, when the Bucs win, Roger ventures on top of the area above the bullpen to wave the flag for V-I-C-T-O-R-Y!
This is the City when it's not raining. This view is from our 3rd baseline seats looking out over right center field. The Pirates have one of the most beautiful ball parks in America. There's really no bad seat in the house. I should know cuz Trudi and I've sat in alot of the different sections to get a well rounded baseball perspective!
